Depth of Field
Posted by Aaron - 30/07/09 at 09:07:00 pmSo I finally, finally, FINALLY shot the roll of TriX 400 black & white film that I had. And I am impressed with the results, not because they are amazing photographs, but because I didn’t ruin any of them.
I will continue to shoot film for fun. Color film and more black & white is purchased and ready to jump into the camera. Wish me luck!
Another Portrait Session
Posted by Aaron - 23/07/09 at 10:07:00 pmMy wife, Kristen, let me create some portrait shots for fun tonight since the kids are at their Nana’s house.
Here is the fun we had:
Carla & Keith, Wedding at Lake Tahoe
Posted by Aaron - 21/07/09 at 12:07:00 pmI had the privilege of shooting another wedding with the incredible Ashley Forrette, this time for Carla & Keith in Lake Tahoe. Gorgeous wedding. East coast and west coast families and friends. Style. Fun. Sunshine. Party. All this makes for fun photography. Congrats Carla & Keith!
Ben & Amanda’s Wedding
Posted by Aaron - 16/07/09 at 07:07:00 amBen & Amanda’s wedding was a lot of fun, beautiful, and most importantly, they surrounded themselves with the people they love. Congrats to an awesome, awesome couple!!!
Nathan & Carly Engagement
Posted by Aaron - 08/07/09 at 07:07:00 pmAn incredibly fun engagement shoot for Nathan & Carly, led by the exceptionally talented Ashley Forrette.
They are exceptionally fun and we all got along, even with my horrendous puns. I had a great time “engineering” a lot of the lighting setups and am SO happy with both Ashley and I’s results.
Find a few of my shots at Ashley’s blog and see more of my own here:

Congrats Nathan & Carly! Can’t wait for your wedding.
Perspective Control
Posted by Aaron - 03/07/09 at 08:07:00 pmFor me, there is nothing like the beach. I connect to the sound of the waves, the power of the tide, and the smell of cold salty air in a way that I cannot ever explain.
Rent me a special, tilt-shift lens for a day, and maybe I can shed a little light on how much I love the Oregon coast.
This lens can shift the “focus plane” around pretty much any direction and can give the feeling of tininess or depth more than regular camera lenses are capable of. I love it almost as much as the beach itself.
Please visit www.aaroncphotography.com/tiltshiftbeach for many more of my photographs from this trip.
Thanks for visiting my blog! Shortly I hope to give this blog a much needed boost, maybe infusing it with a shot of Dr. Pepper.
